Enrol your childFounded in 2012, Parramatta Arabic School is a community language school located in Western Sydney, Parramatta. The school provides Arabic classes for school-aged students who come from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds to enable them learn the Arabic language in a fun, safe and interactive educational environment. We offer our classes primarily over the weekend during school terms at Parramatta North Public School. We also offer a special after-school program for beginners on Tuesday and Thursday called Little Arabic Explorers.
Our mission is to provide high quality Arabic education to students who come from different backgrounds. We are committed to ensure all students receive the knowledge and skill required to succeed in their Arabic learning journey and to empower them to learn a beautiful language which will help them develop their skills and engagement within the outer community.
Being an active member of the NSW Community language schools, Parramatta Arabic School offers programs that encourage students to stand out in the community and help them to maximise their potentials throughout their development journey by becoming bilingual. Through a balanced curriculum we provide programs that encourage students to strive to reach their full potential in all areas of language learning including reading, writing, listening and communicating independently.
Our multicultural school services Parramatta area being the second largest city in the state of New South Wales, with more than 7,280 households who speak the Arabic language at their home. The school also opens its doors to students from many of the surrounding suburbs and districts with many students attending from the Hills District area.

Parramatta Arabic School is committed to ensure that what we teach your child is based on the best practices of effective language teaching and the most accredited learning resources. We try our best to allow children learn and use the Arabic language in an enjoyable, safe and interactive educational environment. We offer six programs which are carefully selected to assist students to develop their language skills from a reading, writing, speaking and listening perspectives.
Alongside Arabic, we also offer students an additional quranic program that gives them a great opportunity to memorise Quran and learn how to recite it correctly.
The ability to recite and memories Quran is a dream many Muslim parents have for their children. Indeed, it is a challenging long term goal to achieve and requires a lot of efforts, enthusiasm and persistence. However, there is no doubt that learning the language of Quran is a significant investment for your child who will eventually enjoy the reward of it for the rest of their life.
At Parramatta Arabic School, we offer students an additional Quranic program that gives a great opportunity for those interested to practice memorising Quran and learn how to recite it correctly. While our main focus isn't on memorising Quran, our programs aim to allow students to develop their self-reading confidence, refine their pronunciation and boost their relationship with Quran. Nevertheless, this does not take away the weight of responsibility on our shoulders as parents to pursue that goal.

We collect, hold and use personal information for the purposes of managing our school functions and activities. The school generally collects personal information about students and their parents or carers as well as staff members by the way of completing forms online or through meetings, emails, messaging, WhatsApp and telephone calls. We only collect, hold, use and disclose personal information for a lawful purpose that is reasonably necessary to manage the school or related directly to performing our programs, functions and activities or where otherwise required or authorised by law.
When you complete an expression of interest form, a contact us form or any other registration or enrolment form on our website, we collect the information you provide to us in an electronic text format (CSV) and have them stored securely on an encrypted local drive. A copy of the information is also backed up on our Office 365 secured service with restricted access. We use the information you provide us with to create a student record for your child so that we can provide you with the best possible service experience. Having a student record helps us manage our relationship with you efficiently, including allowing us to communicate with you when needed such as in cases of emergency. It also facilitates our billing process as well as providing you with reports about your child's progress.
The School respects parents' right to make decisions about photographing their children and having their images uploaded to the website. We upload images to our website and our Facebook page in accordance with the consent provided by parents as part of their expression of interest form.

Personal information available as a result of a form being completed on the website are cleared regularly from the website's server once a copy is saved on our external drive. Website administrators can see and edit that information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Like all other schools, our school incurs some ongoing costs such as paying rent, buying books and organising events. Parramatta Arabic School is a non-profit organisation that relies mainly on a small term fee to cover its expenses. Certain students are unable to pay the school fee because of financial hardship and hence they end up leaving the school. You can greatly help those kids by being a sponsor. Your donation will be used to cover the term fee for those who end up not being able to pay the fee. You can also support children to learn Arabic by donating for books and materials. The more donations we receive, the lower the charge will be on parents.

Frequently asked questions, ways to reach us, and how to find the school.
If you are interested to enrol your children to study at Parramatta Arabic School, please complete an expression of interest form on our Enrolment page.
After submitting your expression of interest form, we will invite you to bring your child to be assessed. We organise an assessment day at the start of Term 1 each year and will notify you via email if your application is received in time for this day. If you submit your application after the start of Term 1, you can bring your child for an assessment on any Saturday during school terms between 9:30 am and 12:30 pm.
We will try our best to accommodate your child in one of our classes. However, due to the high demand for our beginner classes and the limited spaces available, we cannot guarantee placement. Intermediate and advanced classes are generally available throughout the year.
Our programs are designed to be delivered over a full year, and commitment to the yearly schedule is essential for children to gain the maximum benefit. If you're seeking short-term courses, our program may not align with your needs.
Since our classes are only held once a week, it is important that students attend all sessions to maximise their learning potential. Education is a sequential process, and missing even one class can result in students missing important stages in the progression of topics, making it harder for them to keep up.
Our programs are coordinated with the NSW Department of Education, and students who attend at least 70% of classes will be eligible for a Certificate of Attendance issued by the Department. The certificate is only available to students who participate from the start of the year.
The annual fee for our program is $800 ($200 per term), billed semi-annually at $400 per semester inclusive of books and GST. A sibling discount is available: 5% off the total fee for two enrolled students, and 10% for three or more children. We accept Creative Kids vouchers issued by Service NSW.
As a non-profit organisation, the school uses the tuition fees to pay for rent, books, learning materials, gifts and awards, teachers' salaries, and general administration. Upon acceptance and fee payment, a seat will be reserved for your child, and the fee becomes non-refundable. Please ensure your child can commit to the full program before applying, to avoid any misunderstandings.

No, we don't offer tahfiz programs. At Parramatta Arabic School, our programs focus on teaching the Arabic language, which aids in improving students' abilities to read and memorise on their own.
We offer a light Quranic program alongside our Arabic program, giving a great opportunity for those interested in practising Quran memorisation and learning correct recitation.

As a parent or carer, it's your responsibility to get your child to and from school safely. Student safety is our priority. Keep our school community safe by driving and parking safely — even if it means parking further away and walking the rest of the way — being a good role model, never calling your child from across the road, and using the safest place to cross the road.
For parents and carers of younger children, discuss with your child how to be safe when walking, travelling in the car, and waiting for, travelling on and getting off the bus, as well as riding bikes, scooters and skateboards. Also talk about and practise safe travel routes, plans for when unexpected things happen, and what to do in wet weather.
